Seed is then spread over the entire area. The final step is to blow a layer of compost over the entire area and irrigate. In place of fertilizer the compost adds the needed nutrients to the soil. At the same time it adds organic content to the soil all while being much more environmentally friendly than chemical fertilizers. Dependent on the material we have found the customer has spread 25-35,000 square feet in a day (40-50 cubic yards).
