Mulch is typically loaded into the blowers load tray from the rear of the truck. It seems that the average high end home requires between 6-10 cubic yards (if applied with a blower). Due to set up time, break down time and travel time the amount of material spread each day is considerably less. The average, dependent on operators, mulch density and how crowded the mulch bed is, with a three man crew is 40-50 cubic yards in an 8-10 hour day. However, it is important to remember that because of the way the mulch is laid down we are spreading 20-30% less than we were by hand so really we are completing 60-70 cubic yards worth of work in a day with three people!!
